Implementation
The Verian Implementation Practice Group prides itself in
ensuring that our customers' experience with the Verian
product suite is a journey and not a destination. Our implementation
methodology actually begins during customers' software selection
process. We gain an in-depth understanding of organizational
needs and begin to craft a custom implementation schedule.
Once we
have acquired this foundation of knowledge, we start to
educate, probe, question, and challenge using our accumulated
knowledge from previous implementations and industry best
practices. The culmination of this investment of time and
energy is a detailed roadmap of who, how, and when activities
will be done that lead up to that ultimate day — the
GO LIVE day!
Training
Verian Technologies offers several levels of training to
all its customers.
- End
user - basic entry-level training that introduces
the end user to the system features and functionality
that they will use to accomplish their everyday job. A
certification exam will be administered at the end of
the training.
- Power
user - advanced training for the experienced user
who is looking for new ways to gain efficiencies in their
workflow processes or need to know how to assemble and
interpret system data.
- Executive - training is designed for one-on-one interaction and
encompasses a lot of the training described in the "Report
usage and analysis" section, but is geared toward
an executive's needs.
- Report
usage and analysis - training encompasses familiarizing
the user with the types of information gathered by the
system, system functionality and interaction as it relates
to their company's business workflow processes. This service
will also introduce the user to the standard system reports
and help identify which standard system reports best fit
their specific needs. The user will also be trained in
the use of the ad hoc reporting creation tool.
- Train
the trainer - very detailed training in system
administration, functionality and interrelationships.
Training also involves a complete understanding of the
company's business flows as they relate to the Verian
product suite. The Verian trainer will also assist with
the design and creation of training materials along with
discussions geared toward how to best conduct training
sessions. A certification exam will be administered at
the end of the training.
Technical
Services
- Integrations/Data
conversion - Verian's technical staff has assisted
most customers with building interfaces and/or integrations
into their accounting and legacy systems to gain the most
efficiency from all systems. We pride ourselves on our
integration expertise. View

- Custom
system enhancements - Verian business and technical
associates will design, construct, test and deliver custom
solutions that help bridge the gap between standard system
functionality and the specific needs of an individual
customer. Custom solutions include reports unique to your
organization, bolt-ons and enhancements to the standard
ProcureIT product, as well as complete stand-alone solutions.
- Supplier
connections - Verian's technical staff will work
with your vendors to implement solutions that utilize
Verian portals which connect to the vendor's web based
catalogs to search for items and pricing. Once selected,
this item and pricing will be used to create a purchase
order to the vendor within the Purchasing Manager module
of ProcureIT, and electronically places the order using
the vendor's ordering module . Verian's technical staff
can also work with your vendors, again utilizing Verian
portals, to electronically receive purchase order related
invoices and match them to their corresponding purchase
order. Verian's software can also handle non-purchase
order related invoices utilizing the same technology.
Consulting
Verian offers many consulting services from business and
technical consultants who are well versed in the practice
of procurement. These consultants are experts of the Verian
suite of products and stay abreast of current industry trends/best

This service provides assurance and piece of mind that all
calls to our Customer Care/Support line will be addressed
with an eye on your company's unique view of the Verian
product suite. In addition to supporting the core product,
all custom bolt-ons, enhancements, interfaces and stand-alone
solutions developed by Verian Technologies will be supported.
We offer support via phone and the Internet, and an after-hours
service option is also available.
